The Vidyasgar College of education has been set up with the core value to offer quality teacher education to enlighten, emancipate and empower the student teacher fraternity with a view to foster life-long learning. We firmly believe that the education must relate to the life, needs and aspirations of the people and serve as a powerful instrument of social, economic and cultural transformation. Our vision is to make the institute a Centre of Excellence.

We are proud to share with you that we have been successful in achieving the core values of equipping the prospective teachers with the knowledge, attitudes, behaviors and skills required to perform their tasks effectively, be it in the classrooms, schools and wider community. Our results consistently display a very high ranking performance by our students. We are however not complacent and continue to strive to excel in classroom teaching, practice sessions, extra-curricular activities, inculcating human values to realise full potential of the students to make them a fine human being, besides being a professionally qualified teacher. We strive to transform our students to be a complete person equipped with necessary knowledge and skills. This will help them to discharge their duties effectively as teacher and also enable them guide and steer the youth in right direction to make them a productive assets of the society and the nation.

We pursue the philosophy of ‘no students left behind’ and therefore take along every individual student by taking personalized attention. This has bore fruit and as a result students have excelled in their career and leave the college as part of the extended family members. I must share with you that the entire team, right from multi-tasking staff at the lowest rung, to non-teaching and teaching fraternity have worked shoulder to shoulder with the management, to achieve this feat and the entire team has been working tirelessly to achieve the greater heights of glory in the days to come.
